As a part of achieving this mission, we are building foundation AI models that can accurately and instantly search exact moments within petabytes of video archives, generate coherent text summaries of videos, perform prompt-based video generation, and many more. The Twelve Labs platform provides access to its Large Visual Language Models (VLMs) through a suite of APIs that are trained on massive video datasets and learn to understand the meaning and context behind the visuals, conversations, and sounds within videos.
Twelve Labs recently raised $17M in seed funding, recognized as one of CB Insightsβ AI 100 companies within a year of its founding, and secured a massive compute resource through partnering with Oracle. Why this role?
Our Go-to-Market (GTM) team is responsible for empowering developers and enterprises to
build intelligent video applications with the Twelve Labs APIs, guiding and supporting customers
to attain maximum benefits from building with our highly-capable models. As the Founding
Marketer, you will play a pivotal role in defining, building, and shaping the new market category
of video understanding and bringing it to the market. You will engage customers from different
audience groups (e.g, developers, startups, enterprises) to effectively communicate and build up
market leadership. It is a highly self-directed and creative role, so you should be someone who
thrives in an unstructured, rapidly expanding and evolving environment.
Requirements:
β Experience of at least 5 years or more in marketing, with diverse backgrounds across
demand generation, product marketing, content marketing, or community building.
β Experience in building organic SEO and marketing automation.
β Proven experience in marketing B2B tech, APIs, or AI products, demonstrating a deep
understanding of the industry and target audience.
β Prior experience in early-stage companies, with a track record of building out and scaling
marketing functions.
β A creative yet data-driven mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and
experiment with new marketing approaches while leveraging data insights.
β Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to mentor and
manage a team of interns for content creation.
Responsibilities:
1. Reporting and Analytics:
β Develop and maintain robust reporting capabilities to track marketing activities
and measure their impact on leads and user acquisition.
β Utilize data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns, identify trends, and
make data-backed recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness.
2. Marketing Strategy and Planning:
β Design and execute comprehensive marketing plans for both small and large initiatives,
aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
β Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing efforts are synchronized
with product launches, sales activities, and community engagement.
β Continuously evaluate and adjust marketing strategies based on market trends,
competitive landscape, and customer feedback.
3. Content Distribution:
β Implement a multi-channel content distribution strategy to maximize the reach and
engagement of our target audience.
β Leverage various channels, such as social media, email marketing, content platforms,
and partnerships, to effectively distribute content and drive brand awareness.
β Optimize content distribution efforts based on data and experimentation to identify the
most effective channels for reaching and engaging our target audience.
4. Team Management:
β Manage and mentor a team of interns for content creation, ensuring high-quality content
that aligns with the brand's voice and resonates with the target audience.
β Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and creative
environment that encourages growth and learning.
Qualifications:
β Proven experience in building and scaling marketing functions, preferably in early-stage
companies.
β Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling
messages for different audiences.
β Strong analytical skills and proficiency in marketing analytics tools.
β Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and adapt to changing
priorities.
β Demonstrated ability to think strategically, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
