Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Franchise Financial Consultant to join our team. This role is responsible for helping franchisees clean up their financial books, ensuring accuracy, and advising on best practices for improving profitability. You will work directly with franchise owners to provide financial analysis, recommend operational improvements, and develop tailored strategies to help them thrive in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and clean up financial records for franchisees, identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
- Provide recommendations to improve the financial health of the franchisee's business.
- Analyze financial statements and reports to assess the franchisee’s overall profitability and cash flow.
- Advise franchisees on cost-saving opportunities, efficiency improvements, and operational changes to boost profitability.
- Collaborate with franchise owners to develop actionable financial goals and track progress.
- Provide training or guidance on best practices for managing day-to-day financial operations.
- Help franchisees optimize their financial systems and use of technology for smoother accounting processes.
- Work closely with corporate staff to ensure financial strategies align with brand objectives.
- Keep up with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and recommend adjustments.
- Review Profit and Loss statements
- Ensure franchisees are aware of tax obligations and provide advice on tax strategies, deductions, and credits applicable to franchise businesses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. A., B.B.A., or B.S.) in Finance or Accounting or equivalent from four-year college or university; or Associate's degree (A. A. or A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in financial consulting, accounting, or business advisory, preferably within franchising.
- Strong understanding of franchise business models and financial structures.
- Proven ability to analyze financial statements and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with franchise management software and accounting tools (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Ability to manage multiple franchisee accounts and prioritize effectively.
