The Head of Finance and Business Administration will be responsible for overseeing and performing the financial operations and administrative functions of the organization. This role requires strategic leadership to ensure sound financial planning, compliance, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will drive the financial health of the organization and support decision-making through financial insights, while managing HR, IT, and office administration functions.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Develop and manage financial strategies to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Manage cash flow, investments, and funding strategies.
- Lead audit processes and liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and banks.
Business Administration:
- Oversee administrative functions, including HR, IT, and office management.
- Ensure operational efficiency by optimizing administrative processes and systems.
- Develop and implement business policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
Leadership:
- Provide strategic input to the executive leadership team regarding financial and operational matters.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and administration team.
- Collaborate with department heads to support cross-functional financial initiatives.
Risk Management:
- Identify financial and operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure the organization has adequate insurance coverage and risk management policies in place.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and present financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Strategic Planning:
- Support long-term financial planning and analysis in line with organizational goals.
- Play a key role in business development and strategic initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance and administration, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and compliance standards.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred:
- Experience in Environmental Services, Construction Services, or HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) a plus and familiarity with ERP systems and financial technology tools.
