Job Description

I am looking for a Head of Marketing Growth to join our Marketing Team. This person will be responsible for leading and executing our self-serve marketing strategy, including the enhancement of our trial conversion initiatives, the transformation of our post-acquisition engagement efforts, and the creation of a culture of structured experimentation/iteration

As a senior leader on the marketing team, you will lead the development and execution of marketing initiatives that drive conversion, cross-sell and upsell within our growing base of self-serve customers. Leveraging industry best practices from prior Growth-focused roles and a deep understanding of our customers, you will collaborate closely with product, design, and other marketing teams to prioritize growth efforts that deliver consistent, tangible impact for the Customer.io Journeys and Customer.io Data Pipelines products.

As the Head of Growth Marketing at Customer.io, you will...

Some things you'll do
  • Create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive customer engagement, retention, and upsell opportunities within our self-serve customer base
  • Map out the broader customer journey, define key touch points in that process, and identify opportunities for personalized messaging and interventions that will drive value when using Customer.io
  • Deliver a seamless and successful self-serve onboarding experience for new prospects through tight collaboration with the product growth team to help customers achieve their desired outcomes more quickly and drive increases in trial conversion rates
  • Identify opportunities to expand revenue within the existing customer base using upsell and cross-sell strategies. Develop targeted campaigns and incentives to encourage customers to upgrade or purchase additional products or features.
  • Develop and manage a systematic process for conducting experiments (i.e., web, email, in-product). Collaborate with the product growth team on standardized ways to analyze results and implement learnings to optimize Customer.io growth strategies.
  • Establish metrics and indicators to assess the health of self-serve customers and identify potential churn risks. Implement campaigns and programs that drive proactive outreach to mitigate potential downgrades and future account churn.
  • Design and execute automated nurture campaigns that drive ongoing engagement and promote product adoption using common tactics like monthly newsletters, regular product updates, and powerful thought leadership pieces
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of growth marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Gather customer feedback through surveys & interviews and utilize these insights to drive new onboarding/activation improvements, identify untapped upsell/cross-sell opportunities, and inform future growth marketing strategies
About You
  • 7-10+ years of experience with B2B software products, with a proven track record of successfully growing market-leading SaaS solutions
  • 4+ years in a growth leadership capacity, with experience and passion for managing people directly and nurturing their career growth, not just directing their work
  • 3+ years of experience working in fast-growing start-up environments where a growth mindset, adaptability, and a drive for continuous improvement are valued
  • 2+ years of leading remote teams across multiple time-zones

We are offering a starting salary of $200,000 USD depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.
