What you’ll do day-to-day:

The HIS works in a rewarding role, collaborating with ENT providers and the Doctor of Audiology to support patients by providing hearing amplification services including: hearing aid assessments, fittings, repairs, maintenance, cleaning and education.

In addition to day-to-day hands-on patient care, the HIS is responsible for shared administrative work for the department, including ordering audiology supplies and hearing aids, ensuring verification of hearing aid benefits and using insurance benefit portals, and managing tasks, documentation, calls, and messages.

Qualifications:

  • A current Vermont Hearing Aid Dispensing License
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that promote effective working relationships with team members and patients.
  • Excellent customer service, confidentiality, and safety/infection control protocols

A not-for-profit independent, critical access hospital, NVRH provides primary and preventive care, surgical and specialty services, inpatient and outpatient care, and 24-hour physician-staffed emergency services.

Be part of a healthcare team offering excellent services within your community!
