ANA is headquartered in Henderson, Nevada with locations in Cypress, California and Spartanburg, South Carolina. ANA is growing and scaling and we are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team in an onsite position in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing daily HR operations for the South Carolina Location. This includes assisting with staff hiring and onboarding, administering benefits and leave, communicating company policies, serving as a point of contact for employee relations, and managing employee offboarding and terminations.


The position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays at 8:00 - 5:00pm.

This role reports to the Human Resources Manager.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • HR Process Adherence: Adhere to documented HR workflows and flowcharts to ensure consistency and efficiency in HR operations. Review and follow established processes for handling HR tasks and maintaining compliance with internal procedures. Collaborate with the HR Manager to review, improve, and ensure adherence to these processes, implementing updates as needed to enhance overall HR effectiveness.
  • Compliance Tracking: Monitor and document compliance with both mandatory and non-mandatory training requirements, such as safety training, anti-harassment programs, and professional certifications. Maintain records of completed training and ensure that all employees meet required qualifications.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Assist with the recruitment process by creating job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the hiring of qualified candidates as needed.
  • Background Checks: Manage the background check process by coordinating with external agencies to conduct thorough background and reference checks, ensuring candidates meet eligibility requirements for employment.
  • Orientations: Conduct new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Employee Recognition Programs: Manage employee recognition programs to celebrate achievements and boost morale.
  • HR Programs Administration: Administer various HR programs including compensation and benefits, disciplinary actions, performance management, and employee development. Handle disputes, conduct investigations, and address employee concerns as needed.
  • Employee Inquiries: Serve as the first point of contact for employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors. Address routine questions and refer complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate HR staff or management.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Participate in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations. Provide support in managing performance issues, conducting investigations, and implementing corrective actions to ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company’s HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification: SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
  • At least two years of experience in human resources, demonstrating a solid understanding of HR practices and procedures. Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels, convey HR policies, and provide clear explanations. This role requires frequent communication within the HR team, especially considering time zone differences, and with other leaders to ensure thorough follow-up and resolution of HR-related issues.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, including de-escalation abilities, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment in handling employee relations issues. These skills are essential for addressing and resolving conflicts, fostering a positive work environment, and maintaining effective relationships with employees.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple HR functions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with various requirements.
  • Professionalism and Confidentiality: Act with integrity and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information and HR matters.
  • Knowledge of Employment Laws: Maintain thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations to ensure compliance and protect the organization from legal risks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and capable of quickly learning the organization’s HRIS (ADP WFN) and talent management systems (Lever).
