Job purpose

The position reports to the HR Manager - Leadership Development and sits within the broader Talent, Culture and HRIS centre of excellence. Your primary objective will be to enable a modern learning environment to thrive and inspire our employees to actively seek out learning opportunities every day. This role will be responsible for oversight and administrative support for Spark Learning, BorgWarner's internal Learning Management System (SuccessFactors), and other learning technology, as appropriate for growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement, Support and Improve our Spark Learning (SAP SuccessFactors LMS) and provide management, technical and client support for the learning platform.
  • Lead technical integrations between Spark Learning and other content providers (i.e., SkillSoft)
  • Create and implement learning management/learner experience solutions that align with our learning strategy (Leadership Development Framework). Some of this will be technical (improving the design and management of the SF LMS and/or implementing additional tools) and some will be creative (in today's environment, what are the best ways to meet learner needs where they are?).
  • Incorporate continuous improvement processes into best practices for the BW learning ecosystem, reference tools, and training for Spark Learning administrative roles and learners and ensure user settings are updated to ensure secure and correct end-user access
  • Improve access and use of professional development training by increasing communication tools and resources (ex: Pulse/Yammer communications, creating videos and other resources to add on the NOW IT portal or SharePoint).
  • Partner with subject matter experts in BU (learning specialists) to hear needs (upskilling, competencies and key focus areas) and help deliver learning solutions through Spark Learning and other learning technology, as appropriate
  • Manage regular monthly reporting, data management of annual reporting of learning and training data and develop ad-hoc reports to measure learning engagement
  • Maintain external market understanding of best in class learning and development technology

  • You have experience and functional expertise with SuccessFactors LMS in an administrative or design/implementation role.
  • You are skilled at change management and have led change initiatives
  • You are comfortable with complexity and willing to take the initiative to analyse data and propose continuous improvement solutions to enhance our learning technology platforms and solutions
  • You're creative and adaptable, able to generate solutions or recommendations that have immediate value yet align with strategic business initiatives.
  • You are a team player, creating a climate in which people are motivated to do their best and builds trust
  • You have experience using social media and other communication tools to effectively drive awareness of learning resources, key deadlines, and build self-service solutions.
  • You have a global mindset, able to spot opportunities across teams, locations, cultures, and functions.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) certifications and accreditations.
