HVDC Control & Protection - Operations Solution Owner

Due to our continuous growth, we are hiring an Operations Solution Owner for Global HVDC Control & Protection. This is a hybrid working role, based in our Ludvika, Sweden offices, combined with working from your home-office.

You will be part of the Global Engineering organization for our High Voltage Direct Current product group. The HVDC technology has been on the market for over 60 years and is an enabler for renewable energy integration, supporting energy transition for a sustainable future. Your responsibilities

• Ownership of the complete HVDC Control & Protection Delivery process, ensuring that a monthly steering of process leaders is organized and driven for effective process changes and continuous improvements in our processes.
• With ownership of the overall process, also comes schedule planning responsibility. You are to ensure a realistic base schedule exists for our deliverables and is followed through in our project execution. This would also be a cross functional ownership with stakeholders involved from the overall HVDC Operations team.
• Spread the word - for the overall HVDC process amongst the individuals within Control & Protection, so that they get insight on overall process and their roles in the complete delivery.
• Take part in the overall HVDC steering of documentation controlling, ownership and improvement work.
• Mentor new incoming project managers for setting up their project management plan and ensure operational risks are identified and hence propose solutions to ensure sound execution of projects.
• You can also be asked to advise on implemented solutions for HVDC Control & Protection meets technical, operational and performance standards.

• Bachelor's degree in STEM related fields or relevant certification.
• Proven experience in program or project management, particularly in HVDC Control & Protection deliveries with a TSO or other organizations such as Hitachi Energy.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project management methodologies, with the ability to adapt approaches based on project requirements and constraints.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to anticipate challenges and proactively implement solutions.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of EPC systems and emerging technologies.
