Industrial Material Handler (1st Shift)

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Industrial Material Handler (1st Shift). The rate for this position is $21.20 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for unloading and loading material from trucks and/or other departments in order to keep the flow of product smooth and efficient.
• Move raw materials in a safe manner and dispose of scrap.
• Operate forklifts.
• Store, space, and deliver materials or products.
• Stack pallets and arrange materials.
• Train on the use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist).
• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Forklift experience both stand up and sit down.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Active duty military members are exempt from this geographical restriction.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong product knowledge.

Position Criteria:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending with or without accommodation
• Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail
• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
