As part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money. For everyone, everywhere.

More about our mission.

Job Description

About the role:

As Wise becomes ever more integrated into financial systems around the globe, we are subject to ever increasing scrutiny from regulators, partners and regional stakeholders. If we are successful, we’ll eventually become one of the most heavily regulated companies in the world.

As Regional Information Security Officer for North America and Mexico, your job will be to represent Wise Security Squad, creating strong partnerships within our North America and Mexico legal entities to help reduce Information Security and Technology risk in line with the expectations of the markets in which we operate.

What you will be working on:

  • Working closely with regional risk, compliance and engineering teams to provide a tailored view of risk to Wise legal entities in North America and Mexico.

  • Leading security responses for regional licence applications, annual certifications, partner and ad-hoc audits.

  • Supporting Group Security Risk assessment process and preparing risk updates for legal entity committees and boards.

  • Evaluating Wise Group Security controls against regional requirements and obligations.

  • Supporting our global security security certification process (e.g. ISO27001, PCI-DSS, SOC1 & 2).

  • Assisting with other Information Security and Technology risk related activities as needs arise.

Qualifications

This role will have a significant influence on the Security risk posture of the Wise regional entities they support. We are fully aware that it is uncommon for a candidate to have all skills required and we fully support everyone in learning new skills with us. So if you have most of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you!

  • Significant Information Security or Technology Risk Management experience.

  • Demonstrable understanding of the North American and Mexican Financial Services regulatory landscape and requirements. Prior experience of working with regulators is an advantage.

  • Relevant Information Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are a bonus.

  • Experience of building enduring relationships in a complex international organization.

  • Effective communicator, able to communicate technical issues into business language.

  • Ability to get results through collaboration and partnership with diverse teams.
