Infrastructure Specialist - Google DevOps

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers) where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Companies have more choices than ever before between on-premise off-premise or a hybrid approach. As an Infrastructure Specialist you’ll be responsible for keeping up with the latest changes using your expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our clients and products. In your role you may be responsible for:

• Define analyze and review technical architecture on required platform and coming up with architecture options and recommendations.
• Define detail and scope the technical requirements into solutions.
• Work across key activities in configuration systems management tools and backup and recovery.
• Support Technical Consultants and lead in building solutions and providing technical mentoring and guidance.
• Setting up CICD pipeline to deploy Kubernetes workload using Git Actions and google cloud build manage environment specific Kubernetes deployment description (value yaml file) maintain cloud antifactory to store container images and other library.
• Application Monitoring Tool (such as Dynatrace or similar).
• Configure Dynatrace trace dashboard to monitor Kubernetes cluster performance workload (PODs) performance setup monitoring alerts if PODs are unstable out of memory or down.
• Monitor Splunk log setup Splunk alerts based on various metrics such as http code 502 503 404 and 400 other functional alerts low order volume payment failure appointment failure etc.
• Manage APIGEE proxies setup APIGEE alerts define security policies monitor traffic pattern and report any anomalies.
• Monitor Redis setup alert for space issue service down etc.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3-5 years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) specially managing and deploying microservices in GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) environments familiarity with GCP logging for troubleshooting production issue IAM Cloud storage Load Balancer ingress and egress rule for GKE manage and Install certificate. Experience with Terraform is a plus.
• At least 3-5+ years of experience working with Kubernetes and Docker setting up auto-scaling ingress and egress rule namespace sealed-secrets config map deployment descriptor rolling updates strategy liveness prove and readiness prove and health check.
• Experience in managing version control tool like GIT GitHub Big Bucket Github Enterprise etc. Granting/Revoking access to developer branching build/release strategies.
