Job Description
The Intern program provides a valuable opportunity for engineers to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in the tech industry with GE Vernova core principles. It's a great fit for those who are passionate about technology and strive for excellence.
The individual will go through various challenging, and business critical jobs with focus on individual's professional development, by building foundation through innovative contributions on Mechanical Engineering and Designed Products for Power Plant segment in the Country.
Essential Responsibilities:
Intern will be a part of Mechanical Engineering Team which is pivotal in driving innovation and excellence in our product offerings in the fields of Power Plants.

In this role following will be responsibilities:
- Work effectively on an assigned project within Steam Power.
- Work closely with the design/projects/engineering community to identify business needs, create a problem statement, & develop functional specifications and support software development.
- Work closely with an identified mentor on an allocated project, make presentations.
- Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with organization policies and procedures.
Internship Tenure: 6 Months
Required Qualifications: MTech in Mechanical or Production Engineering
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of Thermal power plant operation
- Strength of Materials and Engineering Mechanics
- Thermodynamics
- Production Engineering (Casting, Forging, Machining etc.)
- Basic metallurgical knowledge, Carbon, Alloy Steel and austenitic Steels
- Thorough knowledge on static and rotating equipment engineering like Fans, blowers and pumps design and laws.
- Familiar about codes and standards like ASME, EN, IS, IBR, TEMA, ASCE, NBIC, PED, ETC.
- Capable of reading and understanding the engineering drawings of equipment
- Able to read the P&IDs and understand the process and equipment functions.
- Familiar with productivity tool like MS office, Outlook, Autocad and 3D software like inventor, solid edge, works etc.
- Good teamwork, communicate effectively with team members on the progress and obstacles faced.
