Who you'll work with:
The Cilium team is a distributed group of subject matter experts in Kubernetes, Cloud Native technologies, networking, eBPF and Linux Kernel development.
About this role:
As an integral member of the Cilium team, you will be at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the development of high-performance eBPF code for our open-source projects-Cilium, Hubble, and Tetragon. Your expertise in eBPF, Linux Kernel development, and cloud-native technologies will be instrumental in driving innovation and delivering cutting-edge solutions to our global community of users.
What you'll do:• Developing high-quality eBPF code for the Cilium, Hubble & Tetragon open-source projects while following open-source development principles and best practices.• Linux Kernel upstream development• Active participation in the open-source community• Possibility to speak at public conferences about achievements (if desired)
Minimum Qualifications:• Computer Science Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.• 3+ experience with C and eBPF knowledge.• Strong understanding of Linux systems design and either security or networking.
Preferred Qualifications:• GO knowledge is a plus.• Desire to write high quality and efficient code.• A public track record of open-source code commits is a plus.• Experience in public speaking at technical open-source conferences is a plus.

For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
