Job purpose

BorgWarner's IT Communication Manager will lead the formation of a dynamic communications team within the IT Performance and Strategy Office. This role provides a great opportunity for a leader (m/f/d) to bridge the gap between technical IT detail and business language ensuring proper and agile adoption of IT technology across the globe for BorgWarner.

The IT Communication Manager (m/f/d) and team will create, execute, and continuously improve our communication. The role will lead the development, delivery, and active management of the communication strategy and content leveraging data and analytics to measure and improve our communications efforts in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The main objective is to keep the "users" and their "experience" in focus all the time - ensuring to involve them by showing the "benefits" and ensuring "excitement" about technology and its positive impact on day-by-day business.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and train team members to enhance their technical skills and promote career growth.
• Operate as the Go-To-Person within the IT Performance and Strategy Office for the whole IT department and stakeholders regarding "communication" demands
• Develop and execute communications plans and initiatives, including social media content, blog posts, email communications, and other internal and external communications.
• Use data and analytics to measure and optimize the effectiveness of our communications efforts, including engagement rates, click-through rates, and other key metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging across all communication channels.
• Support the creation and maintenance of marketing collateral, presentations, and other materials to support the communications team.
• Assist in managing our social media presence, including creating and curating content and monitoring engagement.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field
• Proven record of "User Experience" focus and expertise to condense highly technical, processual, etc. topics in an easy to digest form
• Knowledge of communications and marketing principles and best practices, including experience with user segmentation and other data-driven marketing techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong leadership and people management skills
