The Opportunity

The IT Project Manager hired in this role will work out of our Lake Forest, IL location. This person will expedite, manage, and coordinate a multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources. They will also change priorities as needed to ensure the successful completion of projects. This role will be the primary liaison to assigned business areas providing direct support. The person in this role will be working as an expert in this area and will need to be comfortable with being known as the "go to" person on the team.

What You'll Work On

  • Work with Business and IT Management to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with department, divisional management, and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.
  • Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget.
  • Develop and execute a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team, Department and Division management.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure business and IT project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.
  • Supervise and motivate cross-functional project team of business analysts, developers, and validation analysts.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Manage project ideation and delivery at the department or division level.
  • Make decisions that impact projects or Departments. Influences or has final decision authority for project level, budget, and activities.
  • Direct project budgetary responsibility of 0-$2MM.
  • Business impact and risk of $0-5MM in business financial impact.
  • Work directly with clients and applies IT business knowledge to develop and understand the business cases and business requirements to solve technology related business problems.
  • Assist in business relationship management, business strategy and planning, portfolio/demand management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or another discipline relevant to IT and the Healthcare industry. Or the equivalent of years of experience and education combined with HS diploma.
  • At least 6 years of experience in project management, business systems analysis, software development or deployment, with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing projects.

Preferred

  • Successfully manage a project portfolio with projects ranging from $1M-$10MM.
  • 3 or more years of Quality and Regulatory Compliance experience with healthcare, medical diagnostics, or similar experience.
  • IT Vendor management, GxP inspection support, internal audit, and SOX audit experience is beneficial.
  • Knowledge and demonstration of understanding of computerized software life cycle including privacy and cybersecurity aspects.
