IT Technician I

SUMMARY
Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain computer hardware and software. Administer server, network,
and associated devices. Provide technical assistance and training to system users.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties below are performed for all subsidiaries.
Set-up and configure new users.
Install and configure user hardware.
Daily monitoring of IT Ticket system to maintain ongoing user issues.
Maintain users in Active Directory (AD).
Maintain email server, users, groups, and resources.
Maintain phone systems, voicemail, and user extensions.
Monitor network for security issues and health of computer systems.
Research, evaluate and implement new desktop and network software.
Instruct end users in use of equipment, software, and acceptable use.
Maintain copier performance and ink levels with maintenance supplier.
Diagnose and correct system hardware, software, and operator problems.
Recommend or correct problems based on knowledge of system operation.
Install cabling, as needed.
Attend technical conferences and seminars to keep abreast of new software and hardware product
developments.
Research and recommend software suggestions for enhanced security, efficiency, and stability for the overall
IT infrastructure.
Understanding of “Acceptable Use Policy”
Understanding of IT specific tools used for monitoring users, network devices, visitors, conference
rooms, security, email, MFA, etc.
General understanding of CMMC requirements for Atec.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work
environment.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization
(AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
Participate in Atec Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.
Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
Cooperate with Auditors.
Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associates degree from two-year college or technical school; or three or more years of experience; or a
combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is regularly required to sit.
Employee is frequently required to use hands to install computer systems, reach with hands and arms, and
must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Good eyesight, by lenses if necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
