THE ROLE
We are seeking a Junior Forecast Specialist to join our Forecast team at Farfetch. As a Junior Forecast Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and improving forecast models. You will work closely with the Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams in order to drive business efficiency. You will be part of a multidisciplinary environment that works closely with all the Operational teams ensuring we provide data science solutions to the business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and maintain statistical models to forecast business metrics.
- Analyse historical data to identify trends and patterns that can improve forecasting accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and understand business requirements.
- Present forecasting results and insights to stakeholders, making recommendations for improvement.
- Continuously monitor and refine forecast models to enhance their accuracy and reliability.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in forecasting methodologies and tools.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficient in statistical software and programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
- Experience with forecasting techniques and models (e.g., time series and machine learning models).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker) is a plus.
