Junior Pricing Specialist
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, is seeking a Junior Pricing Specialist, who will be responsible for supporting the development of numerous, multi-year, multi-faceted opportunities of all federal contract types. This position interfaces with senior and executive operations, contracts, finance, and business development leadership on a day-to-day basis to collaboratively support pre-award business pursuit strategies and activities including price-to-win approaches and identification and mitigation strategies for bid and execution risks inherent in each opportunity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain responsibility for pricing and cost estimating for the US government procurements.
- Drive the organizational construct and align pricing capabilities to the complexity and priorities of the firm.
- Maintain responsibility for talent management, development of pricing and cost estimating strategies, ensuring compliance against a DCMA-approved cost estimating system, and commercial product pricing.
- Work closely with leadership, colleagues and stakeholders to identify and maximize opportunities to leverage pricing capabilities to achieve the firm’s business objectives.
- Support the development of new pricing standards, toolkits, job aids, strategies, analytical measures and best practices.
- Analyze data from wins and losses to enhance the competitiveness on future bids.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing competitive price proposals for US federal government contracts in a professional work environment
- Experience with all aspects of price and cost proposal preparation, including business risks, pricing strategies, compliance and estimating practices for the US government
- Experience with developing or delivering price strategy presentations or analyses and training to executives and key decision makers
- Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally within a matrixed environment with senior executives, business development, PTW, contracts, subcontracts, finance, law, people services, and other key stakeholders
- BS or BA degree
Preferred Qualifications
- MA or MS degree or MBA degree preferred
- Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship
- Able to obtain a public trust if needed
