Mechanical Intern - Automated Tooling System with Location Tracking

We are looking for a mechanical Intern to join our team. This internship opportunity will focus on defining and developing an automated tooling system with location tracking capabilities. This project aims to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity by eliminating the need for human handling during tool give-out and return processes.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the engineering team to conceptualize, design, and develop an automated tooling system
• Conduct research and analysis to identify suitable technologies and components for the system
• Design and prototype mechanical components, including tool dispensers, return mechanisms, and conveyance systems
• Integrate location tracking technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software and hardware engineers, to ensure seamless integration of the system
• Document design specifications, assembly instructions, and maintenance procedures
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during system development and implementation

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and concepts
• Familiarity with automation technologies, such as robotics and conveyance systems
• Knowledge of location tracking technologies (e.g., RFID, GPS)
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
