LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Interpreting concepts principles and practices of landscape architecture (i.e. architectural concepts, theories, principles and practices and techniques including site planning, concept design development, design analyses, specifications, cost estimates, and construction oversight services such as review and approval of contractor's submittals and RFIs) to support an organization's construction program. 2. Applying design management techniques to plan and execute capital improvement facility projects. 3. Preparing and reviewing landscape architectural designs for building and industrial facility sites.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Provide professional specialized landscape architectural assessment services, guidance, and consultation for supported customer project sites and structures. 2.Develop landscape architecture concepts, principles, and practices to support the full range of design, layout, and building sites. 3. Communicate in verbal and written form to present proposed designs and results of studies, produce results of analysis, consolidate findings, and evaluate recommendations. 4. Track the progress of projects to ensure that they are kept within construction budgets; and 5. Complete drawings and specifications within allotted design schedules.
