The Lead, DV+ Commercial Revenue is an experienced, senior manager overseeing the DV+ Platform's existing commercial accounts. The Lead reports to the SVP of DV+ Revenue.
Managing the DV+ Commercial team entails a number of tasks, including oversight of quarterly business review documents and presentations, development and/or approval of client revenue and ad quality strategies, and the stewardship of the Commercial Partner revenue goals. Revenue goal strategy and development is ultimately approved by the SVP of DV+ Revenue, but all planning and execution is expected to be the responsibility of the Lead. The Lead is expected to keep the pulse of the DV+ Publisher organization and existing publishers and work with our product, product marketing, operations, and demand facilitation teams to drive new ideas, new products/ features, and new processes.
The Lead is expected to be an expert on marketplace trends, the competitive landscape, commercial organization structures and strategies, Magnite's capabilities and new offerings, and be able to upsell strategic offerings as solutions to our partners while balancing an operational mindset to drive revenue and yield.
In this role you will:
- Manage the DV+ Commercial Accounts Team (a number of pods/teams) and direct team members to provide strategic consulting services regarding inventory monetization strategies and policies, marketplace trends, and best practices.
- Manage all Commercial Accounts, as defined by those publishers that monetize 3P supply on the DV+ exchange, by overseeing the region's Directors and Sr. Directors of DV+ Commercial Revenue.
- Develop strategies, processes, and new product requirements to drive superior service and insights for our DV+ Commercial Accounts
- Specific key initiatives to be led by the Lead include but are not limited to ensuring operational excellence and profitability in our XAPI integrations, driving deals & marketplaces adoption among Commercial partners, scaling our direct integration strategy, selling in audience tools and programs, and helping to refine our Demand Facilitation strategy for commercial accounts.
- Interface with cross-functional leadership from Revenue, Finance, Product, Marketing, Operations, Demand Facilitation, and Engineering.
- Aid each Commercial Account pod in identifying, tracking, and exceeding publisher's key performance indicators; may include revenue, marketplaces, audience and addressability, integration management, or emerging formats.
- Create and maintain strong and effective relationships with clients' executive-level decision makers, influencers and key members of ad operations.
- Mastery of all Magnite tools, features, and service offerings; interpret client needs and match to most appropriate offerings.
- Develop marketplace insight through communicating with the broader team, cross-functional orgs, and appropriate Magnite leads.
- Partner with Magnite product leads to develop new ideas, new products/ features, and new processes to drive superior client service and insight.
- Participate in new business pitches, industry events, and conference presentations as needed.
We're looking for someone with:
- 8+ years of experience, and 5+ years of managing people.
- BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience in software and/or technological sales.
- Experience in ad tech industry with an understanding of digital advertising industry, and programmatic market required.
- Experience with a global business preferred
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to prospects/clients during sales processes
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, ability to communicate with sales, executives and clients.
- Strategic, analytical thinker who consistently challenges the status quo.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into plans and actionable objectives.
