Eaton Corporation's Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Facility Transformation. This role is based out of our Amarillo, TX manufacturing facility. Relocation is provided within the United States for this opportunity.

In this position, the incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes across the Syracuse facility, with preferred experience in foundry operations and machining.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

This role will play an integral part in driving improvements in machine and operator efficiencies while placing a focus on reducing unplanned downtime. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of new processes and continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will be able to make a significant impact from day one and grow their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and refine foundry processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. This includes selecting appropriate materials and machinery for casting processes.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with external vendors related to assigned capital improvement projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to foundry staff, including troubleshooting issues and optimizing production processes.
  • Identify, design, and implement machining process improvements using programs, Lean tools, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Leverage both change management & project management skills to plan, organize, and lead various capital improvement projects including equipment replacements and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot and lead problem-solving activities to identify root cause issue and propose recommended solutions to both Plant and Division leadership teams
  • Proactively drive improvements related to the machining and material flow to support production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the installation and implementation of new equipment. Create programs and work holding fixtures, qualify new machines, and provide training to machine operators on new technologies.
  • Manage the documentation of both legacy and new manufacturing processes across the facility, including work instructions and standard operation procedures
  • Support standardized work definition as well as the workplace design under the consideration of MESH and LEAN requirements
  • Support production by enhancing site capabilities, safety, quality, and utilization

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience in Engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in Machining Applications, including CNC Programming, PLC Programing Tooling, Methods Development and Fixtures
  • Technical knowledge in statistical controls
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in machining and/or foundry operation.
