Job Summary
Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic corporate legal team. In this role, you will provide vital support to attorneys and legal professionals, ensuring that our corporate office operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of corporate law and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining corporate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, corporate resolutions, and compliance documents.
- Organize and maintain an efficient filing system for legal documents, both in physical and electronic formats, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing professional and timely responses to inquiries.
- Coordinate communication between attorneys, clients, and third-party service providers while maintaining confidentiality.
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule appointments, and arrange meetings, ensuring efficient time management for legal professionals.
- Prepare materials for meetings, including agendas, briefs, and presentations, and ensure all necessary documents are available.
- Litigation support in the preparation of materials.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, legal administration, or a related field is preferred. A bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a legal assistant role within a corporate environment or law firm setting
- Proficiency in legal terminology, corporate governance, and document preparation
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools
- Familiarity with case management software is a plus
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Flexibility and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Able to proactively identify needs and take the initiative to resolve issues efficiently
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment
