At Pave, our vision is simple - Make Compensation Fair.Â

We partner with our customers to help them build and retain world-class teams through planning, communicating and benchmarking their teamâs compensation in real time. And you donât have to just hear it from us â you can hear it from our customers: Hover, Sweetgreen, Airtable and more.
Weâre growing fast, building an incredible team and product, and having plenty of fun as we do it in our San Francisco and New York City offices.Â
If stretching the rubber band, building with intellectual honesty and focusing on impact sounds exciting - we highly encourage you to reach out. Weâd love to partner on our journey to change the world of compensation!
Marketing @ Pave:Â
We are looking for an experienced Lifecycle Marketing Manager to help us win the hearts (and wallets) of companies who want to build confidence in every compensation decision. As an early member of Paveâs marketing team, youâll build the foundation for how we demonstrate customer value at every stage of the lifecycle, with the ultimate goal of driving revenue. Youâll understand our buyers and their pain points, launch email campaigns that increase time-to-value, and generate revenue through upsell campaigns. Plus, youâll be working closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Customer Success, and designers to make it all happen. This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing.
What you'll do:
- Own our email marketing channel and optimize its performance. Serve as the gatekeeper for email campaigns at Pave, improve engagement rates, and grow our database
- Manage end-to-end execution of email campaigns including briefs, copy, staging, QAing emails, segmentation, and reporting
- Drive pipeline and revenue by developing campaigns that successfully move users from one stage of the marketing funnel to the next. Nurture prospects into free users and qualified leads, qualified leads into sales opportunities, and customers into power users and champions of PaveÂ
- Measure channel effectiveness and report on how email is driving business metrics
- Pinpoint opportunities to optimize the entire user lifecycle, test hypotheses, and use learnings to inform future marketing campaigns Â
- Partner with Customer Success managers to develop champion enablement materials and help develop our customer advocacy program
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of relevant marketing experience in B2B SaaS. Itâs a plus if youâve worked in the HR tech space
- Expertise with email marketing tools like Hubspot, Marketo, Customer.io, Outreach, or Iterable
- Experience with managing marketing automation holistically including usage triggers, automated nurture campaigns, newsletters, and one-off campaigns
- Ability to execute quickly and correctlyâyou can launch complex campaigns, drip programs, and list segmentation, without errors
- Excellent storytelling abilities - You have strong communication skills, both written and verbalÂ
- Data-oriented - Opens and clicks are important, but you thrive on driving revenue for the business and know how to measure emailâs impact on it
- Track record of collaborating across teams - You can effectively partner with engineering, product, design, sales, customer success, and marketing
What you'll get out of it:
- Opportunity to develop and shape early marketing principles and strategy at Pave
- Youâre the first in the role, and will define what lifecycle marketing looks like for Pave
- Further an incredibly important vision to unlock a labor market built on trust by creating confidence in compensation decisionsÂ
- A lot of learning, and a lot of fun!
Compensation, It's What We Do.
This salary range may include multiple levels. Your level is based on our assessment of your interview performance and experience, which you can always ask the hiring manager about to understand in more detail. Salary is just one component of Pave's total compensation package for employees. Your total rewards package at Pave will include equity, top-notch medical, dental and vision coverage, commuter benefits, catered lunch, an unlimited PTO policy, and many other region-specific benefits.
Pave's salary range for this position
$127,500â$172,500 USD
Paveâs compensation philosophy is to target the 75th percentile of the market for both cash and equity at your job level. This means that the âmid pointâ of every band at Pave is the 75th percentile of the broader market.
Pave also has a merit-based philosophy when it comes to compensation increases. We run a performance cycle twice per year to evaluate employeesâ performance. Higher than average performance ratings result in compensation increases to the upper end of the individualâs compensation range for their role. The result is that high performers at Pave are paid above the 75th percentile of the market at large.
Pave is committed to pay equity. If you get an offer from Pave, it will be based on your level as determined by your interview performance. And nothing else. We explicitly do not negotiate salary and equity to ensure that we arenât introducing bias that could lead to pay inequities within the team between candidates who have different negotiation tactics.
