Job Description
The Manager, BOKFS Operations is primarily responsible for the operational infrastructure of BOK Financial Securities (BOKFS) to include planning, coordinating, and directing priorities. BOKFS processes over 500,000 transactions and $1 trillion in volume annually. This position manages the following departments: Institutional Operations, Retail Client Services, BOKFS Middle Office, FRM Middle Office, PnL Group, Central Supervision, Credit Support, and BOKFS Information Delivery. These departments represent the main support structure for BOKFS's Trading and Sales Operation. Collaborates with business partners to assure strategic alignment. Drives deep partnerships with internal and external partners. Effectively manages operational risk and anticipates evolving risks.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will be responsible for all operational processes that support the BOK Financial Capital Markets (Bank Dealer) and BOK Financial Securities, Inc., (Broker-Dealer). Provides direct supervision and strategic direction of the employees in BOKFS Operations; defines department objectives; develops operating plan including identifying required resources, provides high-level direction for new business coordination activities, technical and programming support for internally developed systems, client safekeeping, securities settlements, portfolio accounting services, central supervision, PnL verification, and position pricing validation.
- You will provide strategic leadership for BOKFS Operations in collaboration with internal and external business partners. Leverages innovation and emerging technologies to scale businesses. Builds a network of peers to aid in leveraging industry best practices. Acquires an in-depth understanding of business strategies in order to contribute to strategies that meet the future needs of business partners. Keeps apprised of industry trends and integrates applicable solutions into strategic roadmaps. Invests time with strategic partners to assure influence of their strategic roadmaps.
- You will determine department priorities based on risk assessment, client requirements, and resources; reviews and approves internal standards, policies, operating procedures, and new programs designed to improve efficiency. Establishes procedures and risk controls to minimize trading exposure losses. Assures risk control practices are followed related to the entire spectrum of federal laws including FINRA and OCC regulations that are applicable to securities operations.
- You will develop, implement, and support strategic projects for BOKFS which are generally related to process improvement, compliance, new product, and business opportunities. This position is often the Project Sponsor for projects.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree and 12-15 years of Securities business experience or equivalent work-related experience of 16+ years. This experience should include a cross-functional understanding of clearing broker-dealer and bank-dealer functions.
- Extensive knowledge of securities regulatory and compliance requirements
- Extensive knowledge of all types of Securities, particularly fixed income products.
- Extensive knowledge of the mechanics of Fixed Income and Equity Markets
- Good working knowledge of accounting and accounting systems.
- Ability to interpret IT-related documents, such as data mapping, flow charts, and schematics.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills: ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a competent and professional manner.
- Advanced PC skills including a good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel applications.
- Required: MSRB Series 52 and MSRB Series 53, FINRA series 7, 24, 63.
