Responsibilities:
Strategic Data Project Delivery: Strategic 20%
- Monitor industry trends and directions to discover and leverage best practices
- Collaborate with global application teams and senior technical management to establish, maintain and enforce Yum data architecture standards
Technical Project Delivery: Engineering oversight 60 %
- Work closely with Data Lead and Business Stakeholders to establish project requirements and priorities
- Work hand-in-hand with Project Manager to lead delivery of Data Engineering projects
- Participates in Solution Design Data Engineering hand-over sessions and provides continuous guidance and clarification to the engineering teams as necessary
- Work closely with Product Owner and Project Manager to establish and continually evolve project delivery processes
Daily Support Operations: Support 20%
- Work with India based offshore team to support ongoing pipelines and data integrations.
- Monitor/Measure pipeline completion times against established SLAs
- Work with India based offshore team to support End User
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems
- 8-10 years of experience in the Data or Software Engineering space
- 5 years of experience as Engineering Lead with proven track record of successful outcomes
- Work onsite in the Dallas office during assigned weekly collab week each month.
- Experience supporting live products with stringent SLA expectations
- Ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues into terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resources staff
- Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate and create consensus across a global IT community
- Great knowledge of Agile software delivery methodology
- Experience producing material for and running executive level project updates
- Experience setting up and running a product support organization, preferably in a follow-the-sun model.
- Experience in supporting products within a cloud or virtualized environment - AWS Preferred
- Advanced level knowledge of at least one programming language, preferably Python, Java or Scala
- Advanced knowledge of Informatica or equivalent Data Integration platform
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
