Manager Financial Assistance

Location: Indianapolis, IN-100% onsite

How You Will Make an Impact

The Manager Financial Assistance is responsible for providing oversight of financial assistance coordinators.

Primary duties may include but are not limited to:

  • monitoring industry trends in financial assistance, poverty level thresholds, manufacturer and federal guidelines as well as establishing departmental policies and procedures.
  • Stays updated with Federal, State, and contractual regulations regarding copay assistance and manufacturer programs.
  • Prepares and communicates information for appropriate parties regarding patient financial needs, pharmaceutical manufacturer and/or foundation assistance programs.
  • Communicates and collaborates with patients, physicians and payors providing them with guidance on a specific patient level as well as the overall financial assistance landscape.
  • Develops and manages annual operating budget.
  • Audits to monitor efficiency and compliance with policies, and prepares specialized reports.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for other areas of the company as well as within the department and has accountability for deliverables of a third party or vendor.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires BA/BS degree and a minimum of 2 years previous management experience and a minimum of 5 years customer service experience related to the provision of financial assistance or pharmacy billing; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Pharmacy technician registration/certification preferred.
  • Specialty pharmacy experience preferred
  • Patient assistance program experience preferred
