About the Opportunity 

The Project Manager will support the Director of Brand & Digital and Deputy Director of Creative Services in optimizing team operations and implementing key marketing priorities. This person will manage day-to-day needs of the department and support the timely execution of complex creative projects for Foundation events, campaigns, and various production needs. 

The Project Manager is a savvy marketer and communicator who is responsible for seamlessly intaking, organizing, and shepherding creative deliverables from concept-to-completion in a fast-paced environment with multiple specialists and stakeholders. They will work closely with the Foundation’s in-house creative team, and support marketing, digital, program, development, and event leads to define and deliver upon strategic marketing priorities for the organization, on time, to highest possible standards, and within budget. 

The Clinton Foundation Marketing and Communications team is responsible for developing external communications, campaigns, and creative content in service of advancing the work of the Clinton Foundation and understanding of President Clinton’s lifetime of public service. This team of communicators is comprised of writers, marketers, producers, media specialists, content and digital strategists, metrics and data analysts, and creative professionals. 

Core Responsibilities  

Project Management  

  • Develop and deploy project management tools and processes and refine standard operating procedures that will help to maximize the team’s efforts. 
  • Create long- and short-term project plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and adjusting schedules and targets for projects as needed.  
  • Manage creative process from concept to completion, including creative intake, iteration, reviews, quality controls, and delivery with an eye toward continuously improving workflow.  
  • Track projects against budgets and deadlines, producing ongoing status reports, driving alignment within and across departments, notifying project leads if projects are in jeopardy along with recommended solutions.  
  • Manage Foundation-wide editorial calendar, tracking timelines and deliverables for digital campaigns across platforms and across departments.  
  • Liaise with departments and serve as a primary point-of-contact for delivery of creative projects. 
  • Continuously coordinate with other departments, production companies, printers, designers, and marketing team strategists and consultants, including managing external consultants and vendors as needed.

Interdepartmental Communication & Documentation  

  • Serve as a point of contact and facilitate the flow of information between colleagues and departments, improving systems of communication, workflows, and project prioritization within and across teams; increase proactive internal communication to relevant stakeholders. 
  • Actively participate and represent team as needed in key cross-functional meetings. 
  • Establish and maintain central repository and system for key document storage, including consolidation of calendars, and streamline communication of key documents across teams. 
  • Manage team reporting activities (monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc). 
  • Manage on-site and off-site inventory of products in close coordination with other teams. 

Strategic Marketing & Communications Support  

  • Offer continuous, data-driven and strategic counsel on marketing, digital, and creative strategy, in line with current trends and new developments in the space. 
  • Provide critical support to the department on a wide range of marketing projects, and general team support. 
  • Apply careful editing and proofing to written materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and AP style. 
  • Manage special projects as needed. 
  • There will be other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications  

What we’re looking for: 

  • College degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field in positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Media, tech, or agency-experience preferred
  • Working understanding of print, digital, and video workflow in an agency or fast-moving events, marketing, and communications environment
  • Strong writing skills, with knowledge of AP style guidelines a plus
  • Clear understanding of marketing and communications principles — including ability to write, evaluate and/or interpret a creative brief
  • Working understanding of print, digital and video workflow in an agency or fast-moving events, marketing, and communications environment
  • High-levels of professional judgment on matters of significance
  • Attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to meet and deliver on deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of the team to advance multiple projects simultaneously, often on tight deadlines
  • Reliance on data driven decision making
  • Experience using cloud-based project management tools – such as Basecamp or Asana (or can learn quickly)
  • Some experience with Adobe Creative Suite (mainly InDesign) preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a varying schedule including nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays

Compensation & Benefits 

Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $67 - 72K annually, depending on the experience you bring. This role is not eligible for overtime pay. This range is based on NYC market rates and may be adjusted if you will be working remotely.  We look forward to discussing our compensation pricing strategy, and your expectations, throughout the interview process.
