Job Description
- Design and develop new learning solutions in conjunction with other team members
- Write and develop scripts and storyboards for learning solutions, including eLearning and videos
- Write and develop content for learning materials, such as facilitator guides, presenter slide decks, participant workbooks, and job aids
- Manage complex learning development projects, including teams of employees, contractors, and vendors
- Consult with clients about effective learning solutions and lead out on learning services recommendations
- Customize eLearning solutions and instructor-led training materials as needed using industry standard authoring and desktop publishing tools
- Design and implement meaningful evaluation of learning solutions in conjunction with other team members
- Create and manage rollouts for offerings, including developing support materials and communication plans, writing business rules, preparing and administering pilots, etc.
- Work proactively with sales field to promote and implement learning solutions
- Stay up to date on trends in the learning industry and learning technologies and proactively help to drive innovation and quality within the Institute Training team
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of all learning courses and materials
- Mentor and develop other team members
Job Requirements
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field
Skills and Competencies
- Extensive experience creating and implementing proven learning-development processes
- Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and related technologies
- Proven understanding of the quality standards for a variety of learning solutions (including eLearning, course materials, and reference documents)
- Ability to manage multiple customization and development projects in a strategic, timely, and efficient manner (includes management of internal teams and client relationships)
- Advanced skills in written and verbal communication and information design
- Intermediate skills in rapid development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, etc.)
- Experience managing and implementing quality assurance processes
- Advanced skills using the Microsoft Office suite
- Basic knowledge of SCORM and HTML5
- Attention to detail, process, and follow-through
- Highly self-motivated and flexible
- Able to work under pressure and on deadline with a positive attitude
- Proactive drive to improve learning processes and solutions
