Job Description

  • Design and develop new learning solutions in conjunction with other team members
  • Write and develop scripts and storyboards for learning solutions, including eLearning and videos
  • Write and develop content for learning materials, such as facilitator guides, presenter slide decks, participant workbooks, and job aids
  • Manage complex learning development projects, including teams of employees, contractors, and vendors
  • Consult with clients about effective learning solutions and lead out on learning services recommendations
  • Customize eLearning solutions and instructor-led training materials as needed using industry standard authoring and desktop publishing tools
  • Design and implement meaningful evaluation of learning solutions in conjunction with other team members
  • Create and manage rollouts for offerings, including developing support materials and communication plans, writing business rules, preparing and administering pilots, etc.
  • Work proactively with sales field to promote and implement learning solutions
  • Stay up to date on trends in the learning industry and learning technologies and proactively help to drive innovation and quality within the Institute Training team
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of all learning courses and materials
  • Mentor and develop other team members


Job Requirements

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field

Skills and Competencies

  • Extensive experience creating and implementing proven learning-development processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning theory and related technologies
  • Proven understanding of the quality standards for a variety of learning solutions (including eLearning, course materials, and reference documents)
  • Ability to manage multiple customization and development projects in a strategic, timely, and efficient manner (includes management of internal teams and client relationships)
  • Advanced skills in written and verbal communication and information design
  • Intermediate skills in rapid development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, etc.)
  • Experience managing and implementing quality assurance processes
  • Advanced skills using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic knowledge of SCORM and HTML5
  • Attention to detail, process, and follow-through
  • Highly self-motivated and flexible
  • Able to work under pressure and on deadline with a positive attitude
  • Proactive drive to improve learning processes and solutions
