We are seeking an inaugural Manager of People to lead People practices for both our London and Australia offices, based in London. As the primary People team leader for the region, you will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining our organisational structure, managing employee relations, overseeing compensation and benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

This is a unique opportunity to establish and drive HR practices within a dynamic, global organisation headquartered in New York, reporting to our Chief People Officer.

As a member of the team, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations
  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration for London and Australia-based employees via BambooHR and ADP
  • Understand the local and regional business priorities of each function to effectively develop and lead People initiatives that support them
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer to implement a people strategy that aligns with and supports the organisation's business priorities
  • Be a trusted partner in coaching business leaders to effectively lead their organisations
  • Provide thought leadership to business leaders on change management, organisational assessment, and leveraging talent tools to build effective teams
  • Support the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit
  • Collaborate with People Operations to leverage data for driving business decisions that improve engagement and productivity
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on work-related issues, resolving them promptly and positively
  • Strengthen alignment across performance management, compensation, organisational development, and retention initiatives

This describes you:

  • Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of employee relations and business operations
  • You can successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective communication at all levels, including with senior leadership
  • You are comfortable working with analytical reports and financial data, providing solid business recommendations
  • The ability to actively monitor the 'pulse' of employees to drive and maintain high levels of engagement
  • You have a passion for driving diversity and inclusion initiatives

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on compensation and benefits, organisational design, and employee relations
  • Proven experience in managing HR functions in compliance with UK labour laws and regulations
  • Proven track record of partnering with business leaders to drive organisational change and enhance employee engagement
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights that influence business decisions

This is a full-time position based on-site/in our London office. Vevo currently operates in a hybrid work model and requires all employees, who have not been designated as "remote" to be in the office/studio a minimum of 3 days a week.
