Manager, Regional Accounting

Job Description

The Manager, North America Entities Controller, will work with the Global Finance Operations Lead to maintain the books and records and provide oversight for our legal entities in North America.  They will also be responsible for managing Corporate and Statutory compliance and internal controls requirements for their region.  This individual will serve as the key point of contact for the FP&A Team and other key stakeholders with respect to accounting and reporting issues for North America.  They will work closely with the Legal, Tax, Finance Operations, Shared Service, Consolidation and Technical Accounting Teams.  They will also be expected to lead any external Regional Audits efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence through cross-functional collaboration with Global Finance Operations Teams, Shared Services, Consolidation Manager and Technical Accounting Manager to deliver compliant and accurate reporting
• Support ad-hoc reports and analysis of financial results to various key stakeholders within and without the Finance Department
• Manage and or review of the day-to-day record keeping for the legal entities within North America, including analysis of financial results and timely execution of key controls
• Maintain and ensure that local regulatory and corporate governance requirements are complete within the “Due Date” and work with local regulatory authorities to support any regulatory exam and/or audit requests
• Execute month-end Close processes within the stated “deadlines”
• Prepare monthly variance analysis for North American entities and partner with applicable FP&A and Consolidation and Reporting Team members to address questions, identify risks and support the forecast process
• Proactively identify accounting issues and partner with the relevant resources to document and implement appropriate resolution
• Identify processes for automation

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting a plus, and overall 6+ years prior accounting operations (managing month-end close cycle, America payroll, SOX Controls, experience with USGAAP and iFRS ) or related field at a preferred SAAS company
• Industry knowledge of best practices
• Exceptional communication skills
• Results-oriented and demonstrated ability to identify root causes of problems, generate and evaluate creative solutions, implement fact-based resolutions optimally to drive productivity
• Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis yet translate those results to easily digestible messages and action-based insights
• Excellent presentation, communication and relationship building skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing multiple work assignments simultaneously
• Experience with tools/systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Excel, Solution7 and FloQast (a plus)

The salary range for this position is $133,300 - $180,300 The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position is also eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance.The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
