Manager, Retail Supplies & Sourcing

Tecovas is looking for a Manager, Retail Supplies & Sourcing to manage all aspects of store supplies and visual displays including building forecasts, budgets, sourcing, reporting, and 3PL management. . Reporting directly to the SVP, Retail, you will build a sustainable framework that will allow Tecovas stores to grow and scale. 

This position is based out of Austin, TX and it is preferred for you to reside in Austin.  Working from home will be considered so don’t let that discourage you from applying if you feel you are a perfect fit. 

What you’ll do:

• Manage the company's retail supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending and stock on hand.
• Manage the visual merchandising teams furniture and fixture sourcing and procurement.
• Direct supervision and oversight over the two 3PL’s supporting retail supplies and VM. Direct management of the two vendors including day to day management of logistics, reporting, service to SLA’s, and overall management of inventory levels. 
• Responsible for packaging redesigns and coordinating all cross functional teams working backwards from production milestones. 
• Generating and implementing efficient sourcing and supply category management strategies including analyzing and calculating costs of procurement and suggesting methods to decrease expenditure.
• Build relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing and control costs looking for economies of scale as we grow. 
• Develop yearly supply budgets by store and work with individual stores to discuss ideas of how to control costs. 
• Create Monthly reports and create monthly store planning calendars for supplies. 
• Ensure consistent in stock positions and work with finance on necessary buys.
• Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices. 
• Adhere to all relevant guidelines and regulations and ensure our supplies are compliant. 
• Create/Manage holiday supply strategy and execution. 
• Manage New Store Opening supply staging process 
• Streamline store supply ordering SOP including future enhancements like auto ship. 
• Manage retail team PO’s for stores and HQ partners including creating and managing in ERP. 
• Manage the sku and data set up for supply items in partnership with accounting teams. 

Experience we’re looking for:

• Previous experience managing a 3PL preferably for non-trade proprietary supplies. 
• Experience in sourcing materials including multiple vendor quotes and prolonged timelines with oversees suppliers. 
• Proven negotiating skills. 
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities ensuring business critical needs are met. 
• Netsuite experience is a bonus.

• You have training in how to negotiate and have proven negotiating skills. 
• You are highly organized, detail oriented, and thrive working in excel and mining data. 
• You are an expert multi tasker, easily moving from long term planning to daily execution on a daily basis. 
• You have managed (or worked closely with) a third party logistics warehouse. 
• You have great communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
