THE ROLE

The COVERGIRL Integrated Communications Team is looking for an experienced senior social media manager to lead our owned social media platforms across both paid and owned activities. This role is responsible for helping to set Covergirl social media strategy, overseeing day to day execution and working closely with Integrated Communications and Brand Marketing teams to devise and implement creative content and programming that drives the brand forward across key KPIs. This individual should have expertise across all key social media platforms, focusing on TikTok and Instagram, with an understanding of platform and content best practices and a pulse on trends and new capabilities.

  • Recommend social media strategies for COVERGIRL, inclusive of all owned social media platforms, with customized editorial strategies that will maximize results. Nurture brand tone of voice and ensure brand positioning is brought to life across all channels.
  • Lead development of social content calendars, with specific focus on Instagram + TikTok. Manage content creation with agency and internal partners and ensure timely posting.
  • Execute day-to-day operations on the brand's social media platforms, specifically overseeing always-on community management.
  • Develop reporting and metrics to ensure KPIs are established and that goals are clear and measured. Analyze monthly, quarterly and annual performance; identify and implement opportunities to grow brand reach and relevance.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing, Brand Marketing, E-Commerce and other cross-functional partners to ideate and execute standout programming, including content initiatives for paid social.
  • Drive social knowledge and upskilling across the internal teams.
  • Stay current and forward thinking on new social media platforms, industry best practices and the competitive landscape. Recommend and action platform expansion for the brand.

Team Management

  • Oversee 2 direct reports.
  • Manage team to achieve on-time delivery and flawless execution of all initiatives.
  • Foster professional growth of the team, including upskilling to be at the forefront of digital.

Job Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor's degree.
  • 5-8 years of brand social media experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with all major social media platforms, including TikTok,
  • Beauty industry experience mandatory.
  • Deep understanding of the influencer space and social media landscape in the US. On the pulse of platform, digital innovation and content trends.
  • Results-oriented, self-starter, demonstrating the ability to lead while also a team player that can work collaboratively across functions.
  • Strong time management skills. Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within tight deadlines. Capable of flexing to adjust to changes in priorities and balancing short-term needs with long-term strategies.
  • Creative thinking that leverages best practices while pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
  • Ability to think and communicate strategically, with strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
