Job Description
Senior Consultants/ Managing Consultants are upper-level professional analysts and experienced managers responsible for project oversight and management, execution, and delivery of consulting engagements, who work with company Executives to:
- Refine client project objectives and issues
- Develop problem framework and hypotheses to focus data gathering, analytical process, and formulation of client recommendations
- Develop and modify as needed a cost-effective team project plan
- Define research methodology
- Lead team in development of actionable strategies while eliminating flaws in team’s research conclusions
- Complete client engagement reports with evidence supported recommendations
- Lead team client presentations
- Timely advise company Executives and client when work plan or budget must be modified
- Maintain primary day-to-day contact with client
- Identify client issues to be addressed by company
- Abide by company operating procedures and client policy requirements including pharmacovigilance
- Support company Executives and Business Development Executives with key elements of the Sales process
Qualifications
The minimum requirements for the Senior Consultant/ Managing Consultant position are: possession of a Master’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, economics, mathematics, engineering, operations research, health informatics or a related field from an elite institution with a strong academic record; at least five years of relevant and progressively responsible work experience as a quantitative analyst, using varied procedures and problem-solving methodologies in a healthcare professional services firm, healthcare sciences product company or related organization, involving:
- Minimum of five years’ hands-on global primary market research project experience, including involvement in survey design, construction and testing, sample stratification, conducting interviews, data checking, analysis and creating weighting/projection methodologies and reporting;
- Minimum of three years’ involvement with cross functional or multidisciplinary project teams and third party vendors;
- Participation in projects for drug development, business commercialization and brand marketing processes in biopharmaceutical industry;
- Project experience using healthcare industry data sets, including claims data, Electronic Medical Records, Anonymous Patient Level Data, panel and registry data, behavioral and chronic disease surveillance studies, prescription and prescriber data, managed care and formulary data;
- Minimum of five years’ experience with MS Office products, including the design, coding and operation of Excel-based spreadsheets with macros, visual basic commands and function automation, as well as PowerPoint presentation creation and integration; and
- Minimum of five years’ experience with statistical packages SPSS or SAS, programming queries, running advanced analytics, interpreting results and producing report output.
