An opportunity has arisen for Mechanic Inspectors to work within our Operational Business Units.We require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our European and Middle Eastern customers.Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out complex tasks which include disassemble, repair, and assembly of aircraft nacelle components.
  • The ability to read and interpret technical data (specified manuals, service bulletins/ airworthiness directives, and engineering drawings or instructions)
  • Compliance to required quality, safety and EHS regulations
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
Candidate RequirementsEssentials

  • Time served in a relevant discipline (with trade papers or an equivalent mechanical qualification)
  • Good hands skills through experience working in a mechanical or engineering discipline.
  • Taking ownership and accountability to work independently, as part of a team, and communicate priorities as required.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Candidates will be required to demonstrate numerical, literacy and computer literacy skills.
  • Compliance with all Collins Aerospace policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property, and ITC requirements
Desirable

  • Previous experience in aviation maintenance repair and overhaul environment would be highly beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience of aircraft composite structures and repairs would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience of fastener removal and installation would be highly beneficial
  • Experience of engine build up including the use of calibrated measurement equipment, and torquing applications would be highly beneficial
  • SAP experience (or similar operating systems) would be advantageous although not essential
  • An understanding of the principles of Lean/Continuous Improvement would be advantageous.
The role requires flexibility in rapidly evolving global aviation market.
