SUMMARY
The Metrology Engineer is responsible for generating metrology programs, completing GR&R studies and supporting the metrology requirements of the wider organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Generate CMM (PC-Dmis) & Vision System OGP Smartscope (Measure Mind) programs.
• Manage Gauge R&R runs and generate Gauge Capability Study reports.
• Troubleshooting metrology issue with existing metrology program and metrology equipment.
• Identify and support new jigs and fixtures required for new product introduction.
• Training employees on metrology instruments.
• Support new product introduction.
• Support generating FAI/OQ/PQ reports for new product introduction.
• Constantly seeks to improve work processes; Has a quality-first mentality; Learns from internal and external best practices to apply to her/his work
• Supports all company Lean Manufacturing principles
• Support continuous improvement projects.
• Supports all company quality programs and initiatives.
• Timeliness in addressing Quality System Requirements.
• Principles of data integrity must be strictly adhered to.
• All activities to be performed in strict accordance with the Quality Management System.
• Must take personal accountability for your own safety. Support culture of safety management through compliance with all safety policies, safety observation reporting and proactive involvement in Jabil AIM and Safety First programmes.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
  
  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• BS Degree or equivalent 2+ years of experience in Quality/Metrology Engineering role and 2+ years of experience in programming metrology measuring machines.
• Fully competent in Quality Management Standards.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and presentation skills.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office application [Excell], solving basic issue with PC)
• Proficient in Minitab, OGP Smartscope, CMM (PC Dmis) experience desirable.
