Mid-Level Full Stack Laravel and React Developer

Job Summary

StoryBrand is looking for a software engineer who can help build and design software solutions to real-world problems, and define the next generation of StoryBrand technical infrastructure.

This role is perfect for a passionate engineer with a genuine interest in building beautiful and reusable software. We are looking for someone who strives to create clean, testable, and efficient software that provides a positive experience to both end-users and other developers alike. Our software suite includes landing pages, course platforms, AI tools, online assessments, payment processing, and data analytics, creating a cohesive system to support various business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute in a meaningful way to StoryBrand’s technical infrastructure
• Write readable and maintainable software that solves real problems for our customers
• Contribute to planning discussions for technical work
• Help maintain and improve existing codebases
• Help define and improve technical processes over time
• Develop yourself and your skillset
• Always be learning, always be growing

Key Components of Our Stack

• Laravel
• React
• MySQL
• Wordpress
• Docker
• OpenAi

We are building Laravel applications with React front ends. We also support a few Wordpress installs using custom themes.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• PHP/Laravel
• React
• MySQL
• Familiarity with OpenAI is a big plus
• Kubernetes familiarity is a big plus 
• Can describe the importance of clean, legible, and testable code
• Docker
• Capable of designing flexible software solutions that can be changed and maintained over time
• Constant communication and collaboration with teammates
• Ability to learn and grow
