Summary
This position is with Child and Youth Services at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

This is a Regular Part-Time position with a minimum work week of 20 hours and eligible for benefits.
$1000 retention bonus paid after 6 months of employment.
Applicants must submit a CDL copy with applicable endorsements, (P) = Passenger and (S) = School bus, to be found eligible.

Conditions of Employment
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.m., and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.
- Schedule includes irregular hours, evenings, and/or weekends.
- Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors under different types of weather conditions.
- This position requires mandatory drug testing.
- The physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis is required.
- The appropriate driverβs license must be valid and current.
- Must be 18 years of age or older at time of appointment or placement into the position.
- Proof of education is required at the time of application.
- Good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease (verified through physical examination). Immunizations must be current including annual influenza vaccinations.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner.
- Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job.
- Requires a commercial drivers license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a passenger vehicle that carries 16 or more.
Education
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
The state of Washington requires endorsements CDL (P) = Passenger and (S) = School bus endorsements to legally transport children and youth in school buses. Applicants must submit a CDL with applicable endorsements to be found eligible.

- Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
- This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
- All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
- Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts.
- A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400.
- A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
- $1000 retention bonus paid after 6 months of employment.
