Job Description

The incumbent for this role will make significant contributions in 2 main areas: material requirements planning, and supply and demand planning within the ISC.

This position is accountable for developing and implementing plans to acquire materials to meet customer demand and for developing and maintaining detailed component and raw material plans to support production demands.

Additionally, this role develops and implements planning, procuring, and controlling all material specific to business operations and driving continuous improvement through supplier performance programs, which includes metrics and report cards.

MRP Planner:

  • Ensure that inventoried chemicals and consumables are in stock and on hand to maintain all aspects of the company's business operations and safety aspects
  • Work with the organization's ERP(IFS), MRP (material requirements planning) module to review material shortages and trigger one or more of these actions: purchase material, retest existing material, combine lots, create pre-packs, manufacture materials
  • Use inventory concepts such as safety stock and forecasting to eliminate outages while avoiding overstocking
  • Ensure material availability by coordinating delivery and release with the Procurement, Warehouse, QA/QC, and Vendor departments while driving resolution of any problems associated with availability
  • Complete all procurement activity applying MRP and other methods to ensure that materials are delivered on schedule and meet specifications and quality requirements to meet customer expectations
  • Use material planning and ERP systems to plan, analyze, and forecast and analysis materials requirements driven by production
  • With input and guidance, manage assigned commodities and/or key suppliers and initiatives

Supply and Demand Planner

  • Demand Planning: Own the global planning and forecasting processes for each of the assigned portfolios in collaboration with all team members, commercial, purchasing, and operations.
  • Supply Planning: Monitor and review replenishment performance (purchased and produced) associated with assigned portfolios and participate in improvement plans.
  • Inventory planning and management: Review inventory levels across the business to meet business requirements and minimize the cost to the company. Set targets and maintain all vital data in the ERP.

All activities involve a strong focus on reporting and measuring critical metrics, support failure analysis and improvement activities and coordinating with a broad spectrum of partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum (1-3 years) in a procurement or planning role
  • Validated experience with ERP planning systems such as Oracle, SAP or ideally IFS
  • Strong skills: in relationship management, communication and partnership skills, social skills and powerful analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well with multicultural teams in a matrix management environment
  • High degree of quality awareness as well as customer and service orientation
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
