Profile: Murex Support Consultant

Location: Melbourne

Salary- AUD 108,571- 119,893( Annual Gross)

Job description / Roles and Responsibilities:

Position is of a Murex Support Consultant and you will be an integral part of the Murex CoE.
You will support the engagement by providing technical, functional, EOD support for Murex 3.11. You should able to debug the Murex production problems and provide the solutions accordingly. You should suggest and work on pro-active solutions to reduce the production issues & improve system stability & availability.

Qualifications/Skills:

Essential:

• Experience in Murex v3.1 in Support/Development/Implementation. Excellent understanding & hands on experience for of one or more of the core Murex concepts: MxML, Exchange Workflows and Pre-trade rules, Interface Development, Reports, EOD Processing, Market Data,Datamart, Flex API, and MLC etc.
• Conversant with trouble shooting in Murex for Technical issues, Support SLA's etc.
• Must have debugging skills in multiple Murex modules.
• Broad understanding and interest in the financial instruments and preferably Fixed Income, IRD,FX
• Knowledge of migration, BAU support and working in multiple murex environments.
• Working knowledge of multi entity setup, GOM Setup and understanding of how Multiple EOD can be setup,FO/MO/BO functions
• Experience in UNIX/KSH, XML/XSL/DTD, Oracle/SQL, Unix, Shell scripting, Perl, $U Tool
• Excellent Communication skills and ability to multitask in a high pressure trading environment
• Expertise in Murex Support processes

Preferred :

• Experience in software development including requirements analysis, development & maintenance in an Agile environment
• Knowledge of ITIL/Remedy process

Additional Skills:

• Ability to interact with internal management teams and external client contacts using strong communication and inter-personal skills
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Desire to work in an information systems environment
• Team player with very good communication skills
• Fluent in English
