Responsibilities

• Design and Implement: Get hands-on in designing, implementing, and supporting NoSQL databases and distributed systems in a client/server environment
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership for MongoDB-related initiatives and lead database administration and maintenance tasks
• Collaborate and Resolve: Work closely with Developers/Users to resolve data conflicts and inappropriate data usage
• High Availability: Implement and support high availability solutions
• Performance Maestro: Analyze performance using KPIs like database storage I/O, latency, QPS, and TPS
• Cluster Commander: Install, configure, and maintain multiple NoSQL clusters
• Optimization Virtuoso: Optimize databases for the best performance-to-cost ratio, especially for other teams
• Backup & Recovery Maestro: Design, implement, and troubleshoot backup and recovery solutions
• Disaster Recovery Champion: Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies for database restoration in alternate locations

Requirements

• NoSQL Guru: You have over 3 years of practical experience managing high-load NoSQL databases, and MongoDB is your playground. Replication, sharding, scaling, fault tolerance, disaster recovery-you've mastered it all
• Terraform Tamer: You're hands-on with Terraform, using it to manage on-prem and SaaS databases
• Backup Whisperer: You excel in backup and recovery operations, ensuring data's safety and accessibility
• English Proficiency: Your English skills are top-notch, at least Upper-Intermediate level (B2+)

Nice to have

• AWS Aficionado: Experience with AWS services like Elastic Compute, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, and ElastiCache is a plus
• Atlas Explorer: Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas
• Linux Maestro: Good knowledge of Linux configuration and performance tuning
• Automation Alchemist: You're comfortable with automation and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, and Team City
• CloudFormation Conjurer: CloudFormation and Python skills would be a bonus
