Nurse Practitioner (NP) Cardiothoracic Surgery

Lutheran Hospital, a member of the Lutheran Health Network in Fort Wayne, IN, has an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with the Cardiothoracic Surgery program. NP will have maximum exposure to difficult cases and work in the full continuum of cardiac care with a dynamic team! Requires licensure as NP with prescriptive authority. Prefer CT Surgery experience but will consider highly motivated new grads.

Details of Position:

• First assist - Endoscopic vein harvesting
• Complex cardiac , thoracic and vascular surgeries
• Full spectrum of cardiac surgery care - pre op and post op care
• Manage post-op patient, including arrhythmias, fluid balance and other conditions and treat as appropriate in collaboration with surgeon
• Monitor, consult and act as liaison between surgeon, patient, family and staff
• Collaborative team of cardiac surgeons and advanced practice providers
