Title: Diet Technician

Location: Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital in Norfolk, VA

Aramark Healthcare+ is currently seeking a qualified and passionate Diet Technician to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals at Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the registered dietitians in the provision of medical nutrition therapy to patients and their families.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional assessments and assist in the development of patient care plans
• Conduct nutrition counseling of patients
• Monitor patient food intake and document food preferences, allergies, and intolerances
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that patient diets are accurate and meet nutritional guidelines
• Educate patients and their families on healthy food choices and lifestyle modifications
• Participate in the development of nutrition education materials and programs

Qualifications

• CDM or DTR credential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
