You are a strategic, innovative Operations Manager ready to help clients optimize their business!

Sodexo Corporate Services Division is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support a location for one of our Global Partners. This location is a fulfillment and distribution site, located in Shippensburg, PA. The Operations Manager will be our primary point of contact for Environmental Services and support our Maintenance and Security operations.

Under the direction of the Director of Facilities Operations, the Operations Manager will be the central liaison for all second shift operations on site while managing a team of 20+ full time employees. The schedule for this role is 2-10pm and this Operations Manager must be comfortable with a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs daily operation of all environmental services at our client site and ensure employees have appropriate equipment and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines
  • Support Maintenance and Security Operations; prior knowledge and experience managing building maintenance operations
  • Supervise day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
  • Establish a safe work environment for employees by providing safety-related training and equipment maintenance and by ensuring compliance with Sodexo safety and loss prevention programs and with standards and procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials and/or waste and complies with all government regulations
  • Manage department budget by controlling costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, materials), complying with budget requirements and making adjustments when necessary
  • Establish operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees
  • Promotes and supports workplace diversity and inclusion initiatives

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • A proven track record of successful leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments
  • Strong technical knowledge of the following: environmental services, maintenance, security and safety systems
  • Ability to provide hands on support including troubleshooting and training
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen with a strong P&L understanding
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills

Please note the salary for this position is $75,000-$97,000 annually

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities (e.g., maintenance, plant operations, engineering services, grounds, custodial/environmental, or transportation) or food (e.g., food services or operations, concessions, retail sales, store operations, or vending) services
