Job Summary

Job Purpose

OT Data Architect is responsible for leading the design and creation of a data infrastructure , technology framework and providing technical leadership in support of Industry 4.0 initiatives in cloud computing and automation, with a focus on the design of systems, services that run on cloud platforms. Additionally, Data Architect is responsible for identifying a company’s internal and external data sources, collaborating with department heads to determine their data storage and organizational needs and using the information to create and maintain data infrastructure.

This role will influence and set direction for the Cloud and Modernization of Analytic Agile Teams, supporting our AI/ML and Information Delivery teams related to Cloud enablement and Cloud migration.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing an overall operations data strategy that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of industrial data warehouse and data analytics systems

• Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy

• Lead architecture and development around OPC UA. Managing end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution for Industries 4.0 projects

• Design, Develop and maintain the digital platform and services related to OPC-UA

• Ensure that industry-accepted data architecture principles and standards are integrated and followed for modeling, stored procedures, replication, regulations, and security, among other concepts, to meet technical and business goals

• Continuously improve the quality, consistency, accessibility, and security of industrial data

• Collaborate with the AWS/Other cloud solution service owner, Infrastructure, and other partner teams to modernize the architecture and improve the technical solutions core to the platform offerings

• Coordinate with the Data Science team to identify future needs and requirements

• Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system. 

• Escalate in case of conflicts regarding several activities inside his projects

• Take responsibility for support level 2 and 3 management

• Interact with Infrastructure teams to ensure the performance of the application portfolio

• Create documentation for Industrial applications portfolio

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in automation, Information Systems, or Engineering

• Possess 5 years of professional hands-on experience with application management and industrial digital platforms

• Extensive experience implementing, migrating, managing, operating systems/applications and local industrial interfaces

• Deeply knowledgeable about automation solutions and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)

• Have a strong understanding of the industrial business environment

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, particularly S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions,Athena, Iot Core and Redshift

• Familiarity with data modeling techniques for relational, and NoSQL databases

• Experience with API integration using tools like Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI

• Possess a strong foundation in Python syntax, data structures, and control flow mechanisms, Skilled in core data science libraries, Experience with libraries like JSON to handle semi-structured data commonly found in industrial applications

• Experience using IDE like PyCharm, VS Code, JupyterLab 

• Experience working with Postgre, Timescale is a plus

• Experience with data visualization tools like Grafana is a plus

• Experience building web applications using: Django is a plus

• Fluent or native English speaker

Desirable

• Experience working on the implementation of data lake/data warehouse environments.

• Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company

• Experience in multidisciplinary team management

• Conversant in French or another European language would be advantageous
