This hybrid position requires two days per week in our local hub office of Denver or Austin.

About this role 

  • The Paid Search Marketing Senior Associate will be responsible for managing Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and YouTube campaigns across multiple markets for all Udemy learning products. 
  • You will play a vital role in the day-to-day management of multiple accounts on Google, and Bing, including managing program pacing towards monthly and quarterly targets as well as altering the program to improve revenue generation and efficiency. 
  • You’ll also contribute to shaping global paid advertising strategy as search advertising continues to evolve and change, and new campaign types and tactics are made available.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage, optimize, and report on the performance of between 2-5 geographic accounts ("portfolios") in Google Ads or Microsoft Ads that include search, image, and video campaign types
  • Monitor and manage your program pace to a budget target in the range of $1-3 million per quarter while optimizing for customer LTV (CLTV) ROI targets in all assigned portfolios
  • Manage the implementation of key recurring processes such as analyzing and reporting on Quality Score, reviewing campaigns for optimization opportunities, analyzing auctions for competitor behavior, producing new copy using generative AI tools like OpenAI and Grammarly, and developing new image assets using tools like Canva
  • Develop creative briefs to source, scope, and launch creative in partnership with our internal creative operations teams and external creative agencies
  • Implement localized or translated creative and messaging across managed portfolios where required

What you’ll have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of work experience in performance marketing, mainly through search, performance max, Discovery, Demand Gen, or YouTube channels 
  • Experience managing Paid Search campaigns spending at least $250K per month while maximizing KPIs such as new user revenue and channel profitability
  • Experience using Google Ads & Bing Ads Editor
  • Experience using basic data analytics tools such as Excel and Google Sheets and advanced data analytics tools such as Tableau (preferred), Looker, and Mode
  • Familiarity with exporting custom 1st party audiences through tools like HighTouch (preferred) or Liveramp
  • Strong communication skills and an outstanding capacity for cross-functional and cross-organizational collaboration, particularly through detailed documentation or polished presentations
  • A clear passion for changing lives through learning, including any experience working in the education industry or for education clients

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits and equity.
