Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Payroll Specialist I, to conduct payroll and time collecting tasks within the Oracle platform. This individual will join a fast-paced environment, with focus on accurate and timely processing.

This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement to include a combination of office and remote schedule and will be based in Glen Allen, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing time data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, checking whether all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensuring payments are made on time.
• Maintaining an efficient payroll process that complies with all federal and state regulations.
• Timely and accurate Payroll Data Entry within Oracle
• Processing of Employee Changes (ie Terminations, Status Changes, New Hires, etc.)
• Processing weekly Close Processing within the Oracle application
• Processing manual timecards and monitoring timecard submission within Oracle Time and Labor
• Detailed researching within both ADP and Oracle modules
• Answering inquiries timely and professionally
• Involved in special projects, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned on an as needed bases.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelors Degree or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications :

• BA/BS + 2-4 years of experience a plus
• Previous payroll expertise/knowledge a plus.
• Above average data entry skills with high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information handled.
• Motivated self-starter and team player is essential.
• Ability to meet firm deadlines.
• Works well under pressure.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (i.e. MS Excel, Access, Work)
• Strong, organizational and customer service skills.
