Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Payroll Specialist I, to conduct payroll and time collecting tasks within the Oracle platform. This individual will join a fast-paced environment, with focus on accurate and timely processing.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement to include a combination of office and remote schedule and will be based in Glen Allen, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing time data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, checking whether all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensuring payments are made on time.
- Maintaining an efficient payroll process that complies with all federal and state regulations.
- Timely and accurate Payroll Data Entry within Oracle
- Processing of Employee Changes (ie Terminations, Status Changes, New Hires, etc.)
- Processing weekly Close Processing within the Oracle application
- Processing manual timecards and monitoring timecard submission within Oracle Time and Labor
- Detailed researching within both ADP and Oracle modules
- Answering inquiries timely and professionally
- Involved in special projects, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned on an as needed bases.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelors Degree or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- BA/BS + 2-4 years of experience a plus
- Previous payroll expertise/knowledge a plus.
- Above average data entry skills with high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information handled.
- Motivated self-starter and team player is essential.
- Ability to meet firm deadlines.
- Works well under pressure.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (i.e. MS Excel, Access, Work)
- Strong, organizational and customer service skills.
- This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
- Relocation and/or per diem is not offered for this position.
