Personnel Security (PERSEC) Team Lead

STR is currently in search of a qualified Personnel Security (PERSEC) Team Lead for our Woburn, MA office. In this role, you will lead a team of PERSEC Specialists, focusing on Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities across all STR locations.
Your responsibilities will include managing a team of PERSEC Specialist, delegate and assign task to team members, oversee special projects and customer PERSEC taskings, create policies and procedures to continually streamline the SAP/SCI PERSEC process, efficiently processing Program Access Requests (PARs), managing program personnel databases, offering guidance on the SAP nomination process, conducting briefings and debriefings, and handling various administrative tasks for multiple government customers. This encompasses tasks such as visit certifications, foreign travel reports, and adverse information reports.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of PERSEC Specialists
• Foster open communication and teamwork among team members
• Support the personal and professional growth of team members through training programs, skill development, and mentorship opportunities
• Collaborate with government customers and various disciplines within Security, Operations, and Program/Technical Management to ensure PERSEC requirements/updates are met and communicated
• Stay informed about industry best practices and integrate them into the team's workflow
• Maintain various daily, weekly, and monthly logs for administrative functions associated with PERSEC
• Manage an extensive customer database point of contact listing
• Perform data entry to the Joint Access Database (JADE) and maintain all customer-sponsored billets
• Build and maintain tracking spreadsheets/databases for customer PERSEC activities
• Provide support for security awareness and education programs
• Review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to achieve clearance actions
• Prepare, process, and/or review PARs for accuracy and access eligibility
• Execute SAP nomination process questionnaires
• Conduct SAP nomination process (SAPNP) and Personnel Security Questionnaire (PSQ) reviews of candidates being submitted for SAP access
• Perform data entry and record checks in JADE and maintain all customer-sponsored personnel access information
• Receive and/or transmit classified visit requests as necessary to meet customer needs

Requirements:

• This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government
• Team Lead/5-6 years of Manager experience
• Ability to encourage open communication and teamwork

• Stay informed about industry best practices
• Maintenance of various daily, weekly, and monthly logs for administrative functions

• Preparation, processing, and/or review of PARs for accuracy and access eligibility
• Conduct SAP nomination process (SAPNP) and Personnel Security Questionnaire (PSQ) reviews
• Familiarity with security policy/manuals and appropriate ICDs/DOD Manuals
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with DOD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
