Job Description
Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) seeks a pharmacy manager to join our team. The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the pharmacy's day-to-day operations and ensuring that the Pharmacy provides optimal services.
What you'll do day-to-day:
- Oversee medication management: Ensure safe, cost-effective medication therapies and maintain an adequate supply while enforcing policies and procedures for medication use and storage.
- Supervise pharmacy operations: Manage pharmacy personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations, while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and budget guidelines.
- Enhance pharmacy services: Develop and implement quality improvement programs, participate in relevant committees, and foster collaborative relationships within the healthcare community.
- Maintain professional competence: Keep current pharmacist licensure and engage in ongoing professional development to ensure high-quality pharmaceutical care across diverse patient populations.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in pharmacy and hold a current license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of Vermont. We prefer candidates with eight to ten years of hospital experience, including three to five years in a management role. The successful applicant must be capable of working across all areas of the Pharmacy generalist and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
