Physician Assistant - Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Opportunity

Saint Agnes Medical Center has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physician Assistant to provide Bariatric care at a practice located in Fresno, California.

Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time (8-hour shifts) Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in primary care and a genuine passion for assisting individuals in their weight loss journey. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with our physician and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, with a focus on weight loss management and metabolic health.
• Provide ongoing education, counseling, and support to patients regarding nutrition, exercise, lifestyle modifications, and other pertinent aspects of weight loss.
• Collaborate closely with our physician and interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans in accordance with clinic protocols and regulatory standards.
• Acts as first assist in surgery.
• Daily rounding in an inpatient setting

Qualifications:

• Valid Physician Assistant license
• 2 years experience in primary care or bariatric setting and able to treat adult and adolescent patients.
• Dedication to providing patient-centered care with empathy, compassion, and respect.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while independently managing a diverse caseload.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
